Rule validator
Find out what is actually in that blocklist.
Paste rules or open a text file. CleanWeb checks hostname syntax, duplicates, blank lines, unsupported formats, and conflicting rules — without uploading the list.
Auto-detect works for most pasted lists. Choose a format to apply that format's rules precisely.

How this checker works
A Pi-hole and AdGuard blocklist validator that reads locally.
The validator accepts a pasted list or a text file up to 1 MiB. It recognizes common hosts entries, AdGuard Home DNS rules, and domain-only lists. Auto-detect selects a parser; you can also force the format when a list is ambiguous.
Every valid line is normalized before duplicates are counted. Invalid hostnames, duplicates, conflicting allow and block entries, malformed IP mappings, unsupported regex or cosmetic syntax, and blank lines are reported with line numbers where they apply. The input is not uploaded and no rule is executed.
A clean result means the file is syntactically coherent for the selected subset. It does not mean a domain is safe to block for your household, and Pi-hole exact domain entries do not automatically imply subdomain coverage. Read the Pi-hole setup guide and the AdGuard Home guide before installing a new list.
